Gator Grip: 86 Quote Requests on a CA$1,000 Meta Ad Budget

86 quote requests in about four weeks on a CA$1,000 Meta ad budget.

Gator Grip is a Southern Ontario company that pours non-slip rubber surfacing over existing concrete. The site we inherited was loading about 84 MB on a single view, with a blank hero and 22 of 30 colour swatches missing. We rebuilt it on Nuxt and Cloudflare Pages, cut first-view page weight to 1.30 MB, launched a quote form on August 12, 2026, and sent Meta ads to it.

Mission

WEB + META ADS

The Starting Point: A Site Working Against the Business

Gator Grip pours non-slip rubber surfacing straight over existing concrete: pool decks, porches and steps, garage floors and walkways across Southern Ontario. The brand needed a site that could turn a paid-social click into a quote request. The site we inherited looked finished but was failing quietly:

  • The hero and all four use-case images were hotlinked from another domain and every one returned a 404. The hero rendered as a black rectangle.
  • 22 of 30 colour swatches were blank, because of a file-name mismatch that no build step caught.
  • One page view pulled roughly 84 MB. A single swatch image was 16.3 MB, drawn into a 140 × 320 tile.
  • The page rendered in the wrong font, and loaded twelve font faces it never used.

Phase 1: Rebuild for Speed

We rebuilt the site on Nuxt, hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and treated page weight as a feature. Every image now goes through a build step that outputs right-sized modern formats with fixed dimensions, and a missing asset now fails the build instead of shipping a blank tile.

First-view page weight dropped from about 84 MB to 1.30 MB. The colour swatches went from 82.6 MB with 22 of 30 blank to 365 KB with all 30 rendering.

Phase 2: Built to Convert

The page is built around one action: get a free quote. Real before-and-after photos from Gator Grip installs sit in drag-to-compare sliders, the four surfaces the business is asked about most each have their own card, and a three-step process and FAQ answer the questions people ask before booking. Every call to action opens the same quote form, which is the only contact channel on the site.

Solution

Quote Form and Meta Ads

The quote form went live on August 12, 2026. It collects name, phone, address, email, square footage and a message, and delivers each request to the client. A Meta Pixel Lead event fires on the thank-you page so every form submission can be tied back to the ads.

We then sent a single Meta ads campaign to the site. The first quote request arrived on August 20, 2026, and the campaign ran for about four weeks.

Ad budget: CA$1,000
Quote requests: 86, all through the site’s quote form, with spam excluded
Timing: 84 of the 86 arrived between August 20 and September 16, 2026

Conclusion

Gator Grip went from a site that showed a black hero, blank colour swatches and an 84 MB first load to a 1.30 MB page built around a single free-quote form, ready for paid traffic.

  1. Phase 1: Rebuilt the site for speed.
  2. Phase 2: Built the page to convert.
  3. Phase 3: Connected the quote form and Meta ads.

On a CA$1,000 Meta ad budget, the new site brought in 86 quote requests in about four weeks.
